RMC Movers

I used this company for my move and it was a disaster. The owner, Lamar Bankhead is a complete joke. They were an hour late and arrived with no moving truck, what Moving company arrives with no truck?? This hot head of an unprofessional, Lamar was a fast talker who prides himself on arriving late. He claims his motto is I may not be there on time but I will be there. (SMH...such ignorance)

The guys in the moving crew were actually cool but I felt sorry for them the way this piece of a joke ass Owner was screaming at them if they didn't wrap or move the items the way he wanted them to. (just sad) This screaming maniac tried to overcharge me and make me pay for the hour he was late including the lunch hour that they took when they stopped off in between my old place to my new one. He changed the original price and then got mad when I wanted clarity on how he arrived at the pricing, this fool actually banged his hand on my glass side table. He stormed out and I called the police because I had no idea what this raging maniac would do next. When my guy friend made it over here to discuss the payments and all that had transpired this fool sat on the public ground to discuss business. I ended up paying him (he didn't deserve a dime) but I wanted this fool out of my life. His poor grandmother Rose Marie Charles would be ashamed that she had a grandson that runs a business in this manner. Again, beware and do your homework, I was in a rush and went with the first movers that came up on google but had I read these reviews first I would have run the other way.

Not Everybody who has a Business knows how to properly run one.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $800

I did not have this company move me, but I did have this company's truck nearly crush my car with my family inside on I-285 & Lavista Rd at 4:30pm on 11/9/13.  After this truck made a sharp cut across 3 lanes to make the Exit last minute, causing me to have to make a very hard break to avoid ending up under it's tires, I hit my horn out of shock and surprise.  The "friendly" crew inside this truck responded to their idiocy and near-serious accident by flipping the middle finger out of the truck to me as if I had inconvenience them by maintaining a lane and steady speed in an area where they needed their truck to be in a last-second decision to exit. Immediately after this incident, I snapped this included picture of the truck. Sadly I was not able to get a look or photo of the driver or crew member who shared his thoughts via finger at me. I don't care how many "stars" or good "reviews" are supposedly given by this company.  The fact that they put my and my family's lives in danger with their reckless driving and then displayed disgusting attitude afterwards means that I and everyone I know will never use this company.  Way to represent your company out in public, guys.

We moved a cross town move at the end of May. We chose RMC based on their good reviews. Lamar came out to do an assesment and "sold" us on how fast,professional and different his company is different from other movers. So we signed the contract confident that if their were any issues during or after the move that he would stand by his work. I cannot give a bad review for the move itself which was fast and efficient but what I cannot give a good review for is RMC standing by their work after the fact. Although we did not take out the optional insurance, Lamar told us the move quote came with $300.00 insurance. After the  move was done we found out our microwave door would not close and later we found out washing machine knob got broken  and our sofa recliner arm was broken. The next day we called Lamar and told him about the microwave being broken which he denied any responsibility for he or his crew but the microwave was not broken before the move and we never touched it so I guess it broke itself? When we called he acted like he didn't recall us or our move (what? 1 day after the move?) and then told us to take the microwave get an estimate and try to prove how it got broken. In other words giving us the runaround he wouldn't even schedule a time to even come see the microwave and discuss. So, in summary I was happy with the move itself but not with RMC 's after the move professinalism. Hence, if you chose RMC MAKE SURE you get the insurance or move at your own risk!

We had a great moving experience with Henry, Kevin and Ron. They were a little delayed due to circumstances out of their control at their prior job, but the company did a great job updating us on the delays. They arrived ready to work, with great attitudes, and were very efficient. Their rates are very affordable. Carol (office manager) and Lamar (owner) were great at helping us to arrange everything. We will definitely use them for our future needs, and highly recommend them to anyone in need of assistance.

I read all about RMC movers online and decided to give them a call for our move. From the very time the phone was picked up by the owner to the time I hung up I knew that their reviews were on point! The owner showed professionalism and made me feel he/his crew were trustworthy and would take good care of us. THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!  I got a follow up call  from the Office Manager a day before the move to confirm our move date time, etc..that gets a thumbs up in my book! Bankhead, Louis and Andrew arrived on time and did their work; packing and moving. There was no idling about  and there was no headscratching! They executed the job par excellence in terms of time and efficiency from our old address to our new address.  These 3 gentlemen represented RMC well and made the otherwise arduous task of moving bearable. Good job guys and way to go RMC!!   .

These guys came thru for me big time.I needed a same day move for furniture I bought but 18 wheeler could not deliver to my home.  I called RMC, explained my unique situation, and the owner called me back.Gave me a fair Flat Rate quote, and had me work with their office manager to confirm and execute the contracts via eSign.Pick, Delivery and Assembly was FLAWLESS!!  Thank you very much RMC.   Extremely professional, courteous and totally reliable.  Would recommend for anyone moving in the North Atlanta Area.Thank you LAMAR, DEE and TRAY!!

RMC Movers has moved me threee times over the last few years.  From inception, RMC movers has done a great job for me.  The office personell was extremely professional, and they answered all of my questions.  I have very heavy furniture, but the movers wrapped everything, including my smaller pieces of furniture.  As a Business Owner, I look for certain things within individuals that I want to deal with, utilize, and work with.  Consequently, trust is also an important component for me, as I have quality items that I cannot afford to be damaged. The movers were timely, and they went over everything with me in regards to my move.  I did not have to lift a finger.  It did not take them long, either (just 3 hours).  The group of men that moved me were very courteous and nice as well.  When you call to schedule your move, ask for "The Dream Team"!

I was referred to RMC movers and I regret having taken the referral over and over. I contacted RMC to schedule my move and gave them all the pertinent information necessary to determine the estimated cost,distance,and their process for moving my belongings.Not only were they aware that I would provide my own truck(26 ft) and that the amount of furniture,etc should fit into the truck I provided,it is noted on the signed contract I was told that the movers would arrive by car since I had my own truck.3 of the movers showed up by car and the lead mover drives up in a full sized RMC truck.When I questioned him if he was aware that I had my own truck he replied that his truck "Was for another job". 30 minutes into the move,I receive a call from the owner, Lamar bank-head,advising me that according to his lead man,I would need to make at least 3-4 trips in my truck in order to complete the job and he offered me a "Deal". He said I could also also utilize their truck if I agreed to increase my hourly fee from $100 hour to $175 hour? After refusing his "Deal",he became irate and asked "Why couldn't I afford $175 hour"!! This conversation went from bad to worse.I'm not sure how may people have fallen for this set-up by I have warned everyone I've come into contact with to not do business with this company. Ever. Never. No more.

I only used RMC Movers to load the two Penske 26 foot trucks as my brother & I did the driving to Texas.  Five guys showed up on time. Eddie Love was the lead man and packer with Kevin, Tremayne, Barnes and Hester as the loaders. These guys were phenomenal! They were the best thing that happened all week. Great can-do attitude, not one negative comment from any of them and Eddie was a great packer as everything came off the truck ig great shape. After a hetic week where all of us were tired and cranky, the team was a breath of fresh air and made our week complete. Thanks again for a great crew and wonderful personnel. Albert.

What a great experience! From the first conversation with RMC Movers throughout the entire move experience, we were treated like royalty. After moving ourselves on many occassions we decided to use RCM Movers for a local move with the hopes of saving our backs. Our move was fairly priced at $485. We can honestly say that it was the best money we have ever spent for a service. We decided to pack ourselves and be ready for them to load and go when they arrived. The three gentleman that where assigned to our move were fantastic. They arrived on time, made sure they understood what we wanted, took the time to wrap and protect all furniture and nothing was damaged during the move. We highly recommend RCM Movers to anyone who is planning a similar move. .

We were very pleased with the quality of service we received from RMC Movers.  Unlike our past experiences with moving companies, RMC movers were prompt and very professional. They showed genuine concern, answered all of our questions, and treated our furniture as if it were theirs.  We had absolutely no complaints and would feel cofindent in recommending RMC Movers to our family and friends. When it's time to make our next move, we know exactly who to call--RMC Movers.

If you are looking for a mover, these are the guys you want to use. They moved me from my home to storage and then from storage to my new home. They did a great job. The day we moved to the new house it was raining but that did not effect them at all. They showed up when they said they would and worked until the job was finished. They took the necessary steps to insure the items were wrapped and protected. Because they work by the hour, I thought they might work slow but that was not the case. They worked hard all day.

Just wanted to let everyone know that RMC Movers are true gems.  They arrived promptly and were very friendly and professional.  The crew chief call upon their arrival and greeted us with a warm hand shake and smile.  Everything was explained to us about their policy and work detail. The crew worked together in harmony. We didn't hear any complaining, nor was there any goofing around. They worked from the time of arrival thru departure.  We are extremely pleased with this company because we have moved around alot and have received some very bad service, but RMC movers provided solid quality service. We will not hesitate to recommend their service to others, and we will definitely call them for our next move!

Initially, I was extremely satisfy with RMC movers but once I started inspecting items delivered I was extremely disappointed. Two reasons why I can't give an excellent review is my brand new mattress looked like it was several years old after being moved by RMC. I asked the movers to pay special attention to this mattress because of the newness, but it was still dirty due to an ineffective wrap. Also, a knob of a drawer was broken off. The owner was contacted and he offered to clean the mattress, but I still feel like if it was done right the first time I shouldn't have to go through the hassle of having it cleaned.  .

I used RMC Movers twice this month.  If I had called them the first time to both load and unload I probably would not have needed a second move.  The first time I hired them just to unload.  I got many calls ahead of time checking on the status of my move and giving me their status.  The crew were on time and wonderful.  Today I used them to load and unload.  Although they were an hour late, they called me and told me they were arriving late.  This was a different crew but they were also hard working.  I would have to say that the first crew was extremely professional.  My only negative was that the second crew smoked and I am allergic to cigarette smoke.  I would definetly only go to RMC Movers in the future.

My move was not an ideal situation, holiday weekend and I had planned to do the move myself in a UHaul. No trucks available so I was in a pinch to say the least. I phoned RMC Movers after reading other reviews. My call was at 9am and RMC had 6 men at my storage facility in Braselton, GA by 3pm that same afternoon.  It was questionable whether or not everything would fit on the largest truck. Big Willie was nothing short of an engineer as he packed and loaded my things as crew supervisor. I was also impressed with his patience as he saw opportunities to provide on the job training for some who may not have had quite as much experience. 
 I am so very thankful there were no trucks available to me because only the highest level of professional would have been able to make everything fit. Had I attempted it myself, I would have had to pay for 2 trucks and hire a driver while towing my car.  It would have been a disaster. Every one of the RMC crew were professionally dressed, polite, professional and NEVER stopped working.  They were joyful despite the temperatures in late August of nearly 95 degrees in mid afternoon.  Amazingly, they were finished in approximately 5 hours and headed straight for Kingsland, GA nearly 350 miles away.  They arrived as promised at 9:30am the following morning and unloaded with the same level of intensity and drive to have the job completed.
It was by far the least "painful" move I have ever experienced and unfortunately I have plenty of experience, both local moves as well as cross country with major moving companies.  I'm sure that last minute panic phone calls are the worst thing for a moving company but RMC handled everything and actually relieved my mounting tension about getting everything done.  I can't say enough great things about this company.  I know that I will NEVER move again without a call to RMC.

Moving is pretty much like buying a new car. We all dread that moment. However in this case after the first call to the company everything was explained in great detail. Great rates and the professionalism was top notch. They wrapped my furniture in padding including shrink wrap. They protected my expensive TV'S. They also took apart the furniture and put everything back in place in an orderly fashion. They even put together one heck of a beast of a platform King size bed made out of pure oak which had over 30 screws for each side. This bed would have made any moving company run for cover. They handled it with care and patience. This was one of the best moving companies I have ever dealt with . I would highly recommend them to do any job. Three men did our move and each one pulled their weight. The job was 3 hours long due to this beast of a bed. they went over the 3 hours and charged us just the 3 hour rate. RMC you are a true Life saver. The move was performed on the 21st of July at approximately 9:00am and completed 3 hours later.

I must say that I was truly surprised by my experience. RMC Movers has offered me the BEST service at a reasonable price. They were so flexible that they even accepted my move THE DAY OF! That's right, the previous moving company never showed up or even called! With only 30 minutes notice, RMC Movers showed up and made short work of my tumultuous move. Professional, upbeat, skilled, and careful. I have already decided to go with them for my next move and so has a friend.

The movers were punctual, professional, and proficient. The best moving experience we have ever had. Highly recommend and will use them again! Our furniture was handled and cared for with respect like it was the movers on furniture or that of a family member. The movers actually listen to our needs and communicated with me. We had three movers who all were respectful to my family, pets, and our belongings. Everyone was well spoken and clean cut and dressed professionally. I would recommend people to use them and the price is reasonable for the excellent service received!

After having an absolutely terrible experience with our last move, my husband and I were skeptical of any moving company.  However, we wanted to move, so when he saw an RMC truck in our old neighborhood, he decided to look at reviews of them on the internet, and was impressed.  I called and spoke with Carol, who was very professional, polite, and informative.  I liked the fact that they charged by the hour, and did not add any hidden fees, as the previous company did.  When moving day approached, Carol called me two days in advance, to confirm and to ask if I had any questions.  On moving day, the men arrived within the hour window they had previously arranged with us.  They worked quickly and efficiently, and were polite and professional.  As promised, there were no hidden fees for long carries, staircases, or anything else.  All of our possessions arrived in our new home with no damage or loss whatsoever (another problem we had with the previous movers).  They left the area neat and clean.  I highly recommend RMC Movers to everyone.  They are an excellent moving company. .
